Vigilance Awareness Week celebrated in Railways Divisional Office Jammu | KNO

Jammu, Oct 16 (KNO): With the aim of preventing corruption and irregularities in the Railways and promoting transparency and accountability, Vigilance Awareness Week was organized at the Divisional Office of the Jammu Division. Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Akshay Kumar Marantu, the Chief Vigilance Officer of the Railway Board, senior divisional officers, and railway employees were present on the occasion. During the vigilance meeting, various issues related to corruption were discussed. The Chief Vigilance Officer stated that awareness of every citizen is essential for a corruption-free nation. As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), he emphasized that vigilance is not the responsibility of just one department, but is a collective responsibility of all of us. During the Vigilance Week meeting held at the division, important points were discussed between divisional officers and vigilance officers. Various topics were discussed, including how to perform work effectively and efficiently, and how to avoid corrupt practices and misconduct during work. Speaking on the occasion, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Akshay Kumar Marantu stated that in this digital age, special attention will be paid to innovation and transparency in the functioning of the Vigilance Department. He urged railway officials to handle all vigilance matters impartially and urged the railway administration to seek the cooperation of the general public and rail users to report any corrupt activities—(KNO)
